Bethenny Frankel criticises Harry and Meghan’s life after leaving the royal family

Bethenny Frankel has again criticised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with the reality star describing the couple’s life since leaving the royal family as a “failed job”.

First The Real Housewives of New York City the star shared a video on TikTok on Tuesday 25 July to discuss how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been targeted by online criticism since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020. In her comments about Harry and Meghan, Frankel seemed to question both the couple and their publicist when she asked: “how could someone break something so badly?”

She then expressed how she feels sorry for Harry and Meghan, and claimed the Royals think their lives are “glamorous”.

“I almost feel bad, like I think I feel bad, because I can’t imagine having so much at my fingertips and letting it all slide because of living inside your head,” Frankel said. “And to think everything you do and say and want is so fascinating that you have to accept awards on podiums all over the world. Why?”

After discussing Meghan’s success as an actor before marrying Harry, Frankel once again pointed to the negative press that has surrounded the couple. “How do you do everything wrong?”she asked.

The reality star then claimed that ” God forbid “for the couple to break up, they are” all each other has ” – apparently referring to Harry’s split relationship with his father, King Charles III, and older brother, Prince. Meanwhile, Meghan also has an estranged relationship with her father, Thomas Markle.

Frankel continued her video by claiming she had “never seen a failed job like this in my life” as she described Harry and Meghan’s public life. “I just, I can’t imagine going from hero to zero like this,” she said, apparently referring to their decision to step back from the royal family. “Having money, having opportunities, “she added, before calling Harry and Meghan” two grifters ” and urging the couple to stay out of the spotlight.

“Go away for a long time, and basta “shut your mouth,” she said.

Frankel then referred to the various ways Meghan and Harry have made headlines recently, including the paparazzi car chase they experienced in May and false rumors that Meghan was becoming the face of Dior.

“What happens?”she said. “Just calm down for a really long time or just like, carry on like The Real World or something, I don’t know.”

While Frankel did not specify why she was talking about Meghan and Harry, she addressed the backlash she has previously faced for her thoughts in the caption of her post. “Do you remember that you canceled me for declaring the truth? Don’t forget it happened again. In the text of her video she wrote: “botch’s greatest jobs ever.”

In comments to the video, which has more than 276,000 views, many viewers agreed with Frankel and claimed her criticism about the ongoing coverage of Harry and Meghan was “accurate”.

“I agree. It’s very sad. They could have had such a big, positive platform,” one TikTok user wrote.

However, other viewers criticised Frankel for continuing to discuss the pair, with one writing: “you make valuable points but bring them up too much, maybe you should let them be.”

This is not the first time Frankel has criticised Harry and Meghan’s decisions after leaving the royal family. In a September 2022 episode of her Just B With Bethenny Frankel podcast, she discussed Meghan’s release Archetypes the podcast, claiming the duchess”can’t stop talking about the very thing she wants to be irrelevant”.

Frankel also accused Meghan of trying to “bring down” the royal family and said that, while it is important to address issues of racism, this is not something that “people are surprised”by.

“So you wanted from there? You’re fine, but it’s your husband’s family and you keep beating the same story,” she continued. “You want to be a voice for change, a woman for female empowerment, to talk about racism and how unacceptable it is, what is it like to be a woman of color? So do this. Do this in the future.”
