This Ryan Gosling-Simu Liu Video is trending for a funny reason

On Tuesday, a video of two Canadian actors-who both play as versions of Ken in Margot Robbie– guided comedy-posing for photos on the pink carpet in Barbie The Toronto premiere last month went viral on Tympnitter.

As shown in the clip, Gosling, 42, and Liu, 34, were smiling for the photographers-standing side by side-when the latter put his arm on the back of the first. Gosling then looked down at Liu’s arm, to which Liu asked the Oscar winner if he didn’t want him to touch his back.

Gosling then asked, ” Do you want to?To which Liu replied, ” It’s too soft, you think?”

“Yeah, it’s a little bit,” Gosling replied, and the co-stars then both put their hands in their pockets.

Although the context behind the moment is unclear, some Tantanitter users interpreted it as Gosling scorning Liu, and described the video as bizarre, “embarrassing” and even “painful”.”

“Oh I would literally never show my face again,” one user wrote in the popular tweet.

“This is so embarrassing,” one person wrote on tymptitter, while another commented, “omg this is so painful to watch.”

Some users took the side, indicating that they believed Gosling or Liu were in the wrong.

Meanwhile, some fans even compared the moment to “Spitgate” – aka the online debate that took the internet by storm last year in which fans discussed whether or not they were Harry Styles spit on him Don’t Worry Dear co-star, Chris Pine.

However, there were also a lot of people on Tanair who didn’t seem to believe the video was weird at all and didn’t see anything strange in Gosling and Liu’s interaction.

“I mean you have to ask before you touch someone,” one person wrote on tantanitter.

“I think they were just trying to figure out how to pose together. That’s all I saw, ” shared another.

Another user noted that Gosling and Liu’s Kens have a rivalry in the film, and the two were just playfully playing their feud on screen.

“I think it’s their characters who play like they hate each other because they’re in competition with each other in the movie. It’s not that deep, “wrote one fan, to which another replied:” Thank you. People read a lot of things. It’s a press tour!”
